Twitter map shows FAU has most fan support across U.S. in Final Four

Florida Atlantic has won over a lot of fans during its Cinderella run to the Final Four.

A map created by Betonline.ag based on geotagged Twitter data gathered since the Final Four matchups were set, including over 150,000 tweets, shows a majority of fans across the United States are rooting for ninth-ranked Florida Atlantic to win the NCAA men's basketball tournament.

The Owls are the most popular program to root for in 20 states, followed by No. 4 UConn with 16 states, No. 5 San Diego State with 11 states, and No. 5 Miami with three states.

Florida Atlantic faces San Diego State on Saturday in what will be the first national semifinal appearance for both programs. Miami is also set to play in its first Final Four game in program history.
