Best prop bets for the NCAA Tournament

Much like the Super Bowl, you can bet on pretty much anything when it comes to March Madness.

Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas threw out some intriguing prop bets for the NCAA Tournament, including over/under collective wins by conference, how many No. 1 seeds will reach the Final Four, and much more.

Here are some of the bets you should consider.

Largest margin of victory in the first round Under 38.5 points (-110)

There is a fair share of chalk in the first round. All four No. 1 seeds could realistically blow out their opponents by 40-plus points. However, we don't expect such a big shellacking - especially in the opening round, where top-tier teams will want to keep their starters fresh and healthy. Winning by 39 is tough to do against anyone, let alone tournament-eligible teams.

Pac-12 Under 1.5 wins (+150)

The Pac-12 isn't exactly strong. KenPom doesn't have a single team from the conference inside its top 40. Oregon and Washington earned bids, and Arizona State has a play-in game versus St. John's to face No. 6 Buffalo. Even if the Sun Devils get in, all three programs will be underdogs in their first-round games. If the Ducks get by Wisconsin, they'll likely draw Kansas State; if the Huskies edge Utah State as a three-point underdog, they'll likely draw North Carolina as an even bigger 'dog.

No. 7 seeds Over 3.5 wins (-120)

Given our love for the Louisville Cardinals, it only seems right to group together the No. 7 seeds for this prop. This includes Wofford, Nevada, and Cincinnati. The red flag in going over the total on this one is that either all four must win their first-round games, or you'll need some help in the second round against what will likely be No. 2 seeds (barring any major upsets). Considering we like the core of No. 7 seeds and a couple of No. 2s could be in some danger, we'll go over.

Florida State to make the Sweet 16 (-140)

If Florida State can avoid a hangover from losing the ACC Tournament final to Duke, the Seminoles are a threat to Gonzaga and Michigan in the West region. They're nine-point favorites over Vermont in the first round, and they'd be chalk against both Marquette and Murray State in the Round of 32.

Kansas to make the Sweet 16 (+150)

Kansas is getting something of a mulligan after failing to win more than 25 games for only the second time in 13 years. The Jayhawks are flying a bit under the radar, but we think they're sneaky candidates to reach the Sweet 16 based on their potential draw. Kansas is a sizable favorite in the first round over Northeastern and, if all goes according to plan, should meet Auburn in the second. If that's the case, we like how Kansas' style matches up with the Tigers. The Jayhawks boast top-15 adjusted defensive efficiency and shouldn't be fazed by the SEC Tournament champs, seeing as Kansas owns the nation's No. 1 strength of schedule.
