Blue Jays manager John Gibbons: 'I think we need to bring in some fresh faces'

Toronto Blue Jays manager John Gibbons would like to see some changes.

A day after his team wrapped up a disappointing 2014 campaign with an 83-79 record, Gibbons joined radio station Sportsnet 590 The Fan and insinuated that not all is well in Blue Jays land.

Gibbons isn't the only member of the Blue Jays who has been outspoken recently. First baseman/designated hitter Adam Lind questioned the organization's commitment to winning earlier in the week.

The Blue Jays, who finished in third place in the American League East, played over .500 ball for the first time since 2010, but a late collapse has them watching the postseason from the sidelines for the 21st consecutive season.

The Jays haven't made the playoffs since winning the World Series in 1993, which is the longest drought in baseball after the Kansas City Royals earned a wild card berth this postseason with 89 wins.

Gibbons doesn't have to worry about being part of the potential changes that may come this offseason, as he will reportedly be back to manage the Blue Jays in 2015 for the third straight year.
