Former MLB pitcher Josh Beckett has reportedly been arrested for public intoxication after tackling the singer of a band during its set at an open mic night at a Texas country club, according to TMZ Sports.
Beckett was arrested because he was "a danger to himself and others," an officer reportedly told TMZ.
The singer reportedly sustained a torn rotator cuff and dislocated shoulder from the incident.
The 37-year-old Beckett pitched 14 years in the big leagues with the Florida Marlins, Boston Red Sox, and Los Angeles Dodgers. He threw a no-hitter, won a pair of World Series titles, and made three All-Star appearances.
