Earl Thomas complains Patriots' path to Super Bowl too easy

Steven Bisig-USA TODAY Sports / Reuters

Seattle Seahawks free safety Earl Thomas was sidelined for the year with a broken leg and his team joined him on the couch when they were eliminated by the Atlanta Falcons on Saturday.

With the Hawks still licking their wounds, Thomas couldn't help but watch the AFC battle between the New England Patriots and Houston Texans and wonder about life on the other side of the playoff bracket.

The NFC West has been one of the tougher divisions in the NFL for the last handful of seasons. The Patriots have dominated the AFC East since 2009, with the New York Jets, Miami Dolphins, and Buffalo Bills offering little to no resistance.
