Emery insists Neymar will remain at PSG despite transfer talk
Paris Saint-Germain manager Unai Emery is confident world-record signing Neymar will remain at the Parc des Princes despite speculation the Brazil icon is unsettled in France.
Neymar, 25, joined PSG in a record €222-million move from Barcelona but has had a few hiccups since his arrival, such as a squabble over a penalty kick with teammate Edinson Cavani.
Last week, he was moved to tears after being defended by Brazil boss Tite. The gossip columns have the forward linked with a return to Barca or a sensational move to his former team's rivals Real Madrid.
But Emery is having none of it.
"When we took him, it was with one precise goal," Emery said, as quoted by Sky Sports. "The club and the president want him to stay and he's going to stay here."
Neymar has 11 goals and seven assists in 12 appearances with PSG across all competitions this season.
