PHOTOS: Cleveland honors Derek Jeter with personalized LEGO mosaic

The Cleveland Indians employ quite possibly the most valuable visiting clubhouse assistant manager in all of baseball.

When Wayne Peltz isn't attending to players' needs, he's providing them personalized portraits made out of LEGO blocks. On Thursday, Peltz added a future Hall of Famer to his portfolio.

New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter was honored during a pregame ceremony in his final appearance at Progressive Field.

The mosaic is a portrait of Jeter hitting his first career homer off Indians right-hander Dennis Martinez on Opening Day in 1996. Jeter also received a custom pinstripe guitar.

The next stop in Jeter's farewell tour will likely be in Texas when the Yankees visit the Rangers for a three-game set beginning July 28.
