Sean Avery, Rich Clune start Twitter war with Riddick Bowe

Call this a reminder to be careful what you wish for.

On Monday, former NHL forward Sean Avery took to Twitter to express his desire to fight someone, anyone. Two-time world heavyweight champion boxer Riddick Bowe replied with "I'm in."

Bowe later checked in to see if Avery was still good to go.

This exchange sparked a war of words that appears to be quickly spiraling out of control, with the first shots fired by Avery and Nashville Predators enforcer Rich Clune.

The replies from the 42-year-old Bowe, containing highly questionable language, can be seen here, here, here and here

Bowe later attempted to draw Paul Bissonnette into the conversation, but Biz has yet to engage.

Earlier this year, Bowe promised to knock out Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Randy Carlyle during the team's slide out of the playoffs, but failed to back it up, so maybe Avery and Clune are safe from his bite ... for now.
