GIF: Pirates' Snider misses catch, gets smoked in face

Whether he lost the ball in the lights or simply took his eye off the ball, it's going to be tough for Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Travis Snider to escape the verbal beating headed his way when his teammates see the replay.

As Snider tracked a Todd Frazier fly ball during Monday's game against the Cincinnati Reds, the ball appeared to completely miss his glove and strikes him on the left side of his face. Snider rolled on the ground for a couple seconds before bouncing up like nothing happened while his teammates came over to check on him.

A welt formed immediately on his face and trainers determined he was able to stay in the game.

And to add insult to injury, Frazier was awarded a double on the play.

Side Note: The Reds announcers just happened to be talking about Aroldis Chapman`s recovery from a line drive to the face as Snider was hit. In the face.
