Report: Spurs 'trying to barge into Ray Allen sweepstakes'
Could Ray Allen be heading to the city that he left emotionally destroyed two seasons ago?
Well, according to ESPN's Marc Stein, it's a possibility.

The idea of Jesus Shuttlesworth backing up Tony Parker on the San Antonio Spurs is an enticing prospect for any neutral fan. It was Allen, of course, who kept the Miami Heat alive in the 2013 NBA Finals by hitting a three-pointer in Game 6 that forced overtime and allowed the Heat to take down the Spurs in Game 7.
Allen, who has been saying for weeks that he's still undecided about whether or not he'll return for a 19th NBA season, is being targeted by a number of championship - competing franchises.
The Los Angeles Clippers are reportedly interested in acquiring Allen, as Doc Rivers has touched base with the 39-year-old this summer about heading to California. The pair won a title together during their time with the Boston Celtics in 2008.
Similarly, the Cleveland Cavaliers are looking to reunite Allen and LeBron James and are reportedly optimistic about their chances of signing the veteran shooting guard, who would likely have no trouble in Ohio continuing in his role as an impact player off the bench and down the stretch.
