VIDEO: College pitcher shows off ridiculous pickoff

Chicago Cubs left-hander Jon Lester might want to sign up for a lesson in pickoff moves at Rice University.

Owls senior Blake Fox showed off a bit of trickery on the mound Sunday against the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns in an effort to throw out the runner at first. Fox wasn't able to pick up the out, but the attempt certainly was impressive.

Last April, Lester made his first pickoff attempt to first base in two years. He attempted another in August that resulted in an errant throw. Things came around for him in mid-September, however, when Lester successfully picked off Starling Marte - the first runner he successfully nabbed since 2011.
