VIDEO: Rangers' Moore assessed match penalty in Game 5 for late hit on Canadiens' Weise

The NHL's department of player safety has another incident from the Eastern Conference final to review.

New York Rangers defenseman John Moore was assessed a match penalty for this late / high hit on Montreal Canadiens forward Dale Weise during Game 5 Tuesday.

The hit was eerily similar to one delivered by Brandon Prust on Derek Stepan earlier in the series, which warranted a two-game suspension in the eyes of the NHL.

Due to the nature of the immediate penalty assessed to Moore, he will be suspended upon further review.

Weise skated off the ice and went to the locker room to be assessed, but later returned to the bench.
