Former NHL forward Alex Kovalev was in attendance at Madison Square Garden for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference final between the New York Rangers and Montreal Canadiens on Thursday.

Kovalev spent part of his 20-year career playing for both teams, but his rooting interests were on full display as he broke out some gear from the 1994 Stanley Cup champion Rangers for the occasion. 

Kovalev contributed nine goals and 12 assists in 23 games for New York during that playoff run.
