Packers remain in contact with Brett Favre about retiring his No. 4

Speaking with reporters at the Green Bay Packers' ninth annual Tailgate Tour on Tuesday, president Mark Murphy said the team still plans to retire Brett Favre's No. 4 jersey, though there is no timeline as of yet.

In February, Murphy said he hopes to retire the former quarterback's number before 2016.

"We'd like to be able to retire his number and have him go into our Hall of Fame prior to 2016," Murphy said, via Mike Vandermause of the Green Bay Press-Gazette.

Since retiring from the NFL, Favre has served as offensive coordinator for Oak Grove High School in Mississippi, helping the team to its first state championship in 2013.
