Former New England Patriots tight end and convicted murderer Aaron Hernandez was involved in a prison fight Monday, according to Susan Candiotti of CNN.

Hernandez reportedly acted as the lookout for one inmate who went into another prisoner's cell at the Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center in Lancaster, Mass. The fight is believed to be gang-related.

All three men involved in the altercation were disciplined, including Hernandez, who was reportedly put in a special management section.

Christopher Fallon, a spokesman for the Massachusetts Department of Correction, declined comment.

Hernandez was found guilty last month in the June 2013 shooting death of Odin Lloyd. He has filed an appeal of the conviction, arguing that jurors used "improper speculation, conjecture and guesswork."
