Canadiens' Subban will not face discipline for slash on Stone
Sorry Ottawa Senators fans, but P.K. Subban will not be getting in any more trouble.
The Montreal Canadiens defenseman, who was ejected in the second period of Wednesday's contest against the Senators for slashing forward Mark Stone, will not face any further discipline, reports ESPN's Pierre LeBrun.
Subban received a major penalty and a game misconduct for the slash, which occurred 8:23 into the second period with the Canadiens leading 2-1.
LeBrun reports that NHL discipline chief Stephane Quintal believes the penalty was a sufficient punishment for the incident.
The two teams will meet again on Friday where there may be retaliation from Ottawa, according to Senators head coach Dave Cameron.
