In the eighth inning of a Marco Estrada perfect game bid Wednesday afternoon during the Toronto Blue Jays-Tampa Bay Rays matchup, a David DeJesus foul ball looked like it would safely drop into the stands.

Blue Jays starter Estrada applauded his third baseman's effort to keep his perfect game intact, but it unfortunately would not last much longer. In the next at-bat, Donaldson barehanded a Logan Forsythe grounder but could not get the ball to first in time.
The game remained scoreless through eight thanks to a fantastic pitching duel between Estrada and Nathan Karns.
