Tom Sestito won't play for Canucks or AHL affiliate for remainder of season

Tom Sestito's time with the Vancouver Canucks has come to an end.
The club and its AHL affiliate, the Utica Comets, jointly announced Monday that the forward won't play for either club for the remainder of this season.
From the official release:
Sestito will workout on his own and will continue to receive his salary while the Canucks work to identify a new club where he can continue his career.
The Canucks and Comets thank Tom for his contributions and wish him luck in the future.
Sestito, under contract through the remainder of the season at a cap hit of $850,000 (as per NHL Numbers), appeared in three games for the Canucks this season, recording seven penalty minutes. In 13 AHL games, he scored one goal and added 20 penalty minutes.
