Tom Brady says he jumped off cliff to impress his wife

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady gave fans quite the scare when video of him jumping off a cliff in Costa Rica surfaced recently. As it turns out, Brady was just trying to impress his supermodel wife, Gisele Bundchen. 

"I'll tell you, I was pretty scared," Brady told Gayle Fee of the Boston Herald. "My wife said, 'Are you gonna do it?' and I said, 'I think so.' Sometimes in life, impressing a girl is still one of the best things."

Brady, an avid Facebook user, also spoke about the benefits of using social media to connect with fans.

"It's a great platform for sharing what you want to share," he said, "not necessarily what the media outlets want to share."
