Report: NFL to host 5 games in London for 2015 season

Kirby Lee / USA TODAY Sports

The NFL is planning to expand its experiment in London.

London has hosted three games this season, and the NFL plans to play five contests at the iconic Wembley Stadium next season, according to a report from the Daily Mail.

The NFL started playing games in London in 2007, making a concerted effort to develop a European fan base.

George Osbourne, the United Kingdom's treasury chief, said last week that the government wants a NFL team in London. It appears that the idea is slowly gaining traction.
